Many young girls in rural communities miss school during their menstrual periods. Some do not have sanitary pads. Others lack proper knowledge about menstrual hygiene. This affects their confidence, health, and education.
To help solve this problem, the Pad a Rural Girl Today in Krachi East Municipal initiative was launched in March 2020. The project focused on menstrual hygiene support, education, and free sanitary pad distribution for girls in rural schools and communities.
The initiative has helped many girls stay in school, improve their hygiene, and feel more confident.
